It took one corner to flip the race. Pole-sitter Marco Bezzecchi led away but lowsided out of the lead on the opening lap, and from there Marc Marquez did what Marc Marquez does. He controlled the pace, held off a late charge from Alex Marquez, and took the flag by 0.657s after 27 laps at the Misano World Circuit.
Pedro Acosta rounded out the podium in P3 on the KTM, with rookie Fermin Aldeguer P4 and title rival Jorge Martin salvaging P5. Bezzecchi was the big DNF of the day, and that crash swung the whole championship math in Marc’s favour. TBH, when the fastest man all weekend throws it away on lap one, the door is wide open.

Marc and Jorge Martin are locked together on 274 points. The tiebreaker goes to Marquez on countback because he has five Grand Prix wins this season to Martin’s one. Behind them, Bezzecchi drops to 241 after the DNF, with Pedro Acosta and Fermin Aldeguer both climbing on a strong day.
What the Misano win means for the run-in
A points lead built on countback is fragile. One bad Sunday and it swings straight back to Martin, so Marquez cannot afford a DNF of his own. Still, momentum is a real thing in MotoGP, and right now it sits firmly with the number 93. His brother Alex Marquez playing wingman on the podium only adds to the family story.
