Fermín Aldeguer Mengual is a Spanish Grand Prix motorcycle road racer, born on 5 April 2005 in El Palmar, Murcia. He rides the number 54 Ducati for BK8 Gresini Racing MotoGP.

Chapter 01

The Speed Up Years

Aldeguer came up through the European Talent Cup and the FIM CEV series, and 2021 was an unusual apprenticeship: a full season of the MotoE World Cup, where he took a pole position and finished ninth, alongside his first eight Moto2 races with Speed Up at the age of sixteen. Two poles came in his first full Moto2 season in 2022 without a podium. Then 2023 turned him into a prospect: five victories, seven podiums, three poles and third in the championship. Three more wins followed in 2024. Four seasons on Boscoscuro machinery brought eight Moto2 wins and eight poles, and a MotoGP seat for 2025.

Chapter 02

Mandalika

The rookie season began quietly — thirteenth in Thailand, then a retirement in Texas — before third place in France gave him a first premier-class podium. Second in Austria followed. Then, at Mandalika in Indonesia, Aldeguer won, leading home Pedro Acosta and Álex Márquez. He was twenty years and 183 days old, making him the second-youngest rider to win a MotoGP race behind Marc Márquez, and joining Márquez, Dani Pedrosa and Jorge Lorenzo as riders to have won in the premier class before turning twenty-one. He finished the year eighth overall on 214 points.

Chapter 03

Injury, and Yellow

The second season was interrupted. A second place at the Catalan Grand Prix was the highlight before injury ruled him out of the Dutch TT at Assen and then the German Grand Prix, with no replacement named at Gresini for either. He returned later in the season and was sixth at Aragón. In August 2026, with his 2026 campaign still running, it was announced that he would move to the Pertamina Enduro VR46 Racing Team for 2027 and 2028, becoming an official Ducati Corse rider with factory-specification machinery.
